Tsawwassen Springs is in search of an experienced and dedicated Banquet Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and smooth operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a background in food service, and a passion for hospitality. The Banquet Captain will work closely with the kitchen and service staff to deliver an outstanding experience for our guests. This position offers a competitive hourly wage plus excellent gratuities. This applicant must have 2 years previous experience working in a hotel or banquet facility- ideally 2 years as a banquet captain.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise banquet staff during events to ensure high-quality service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
- Manage the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to event specifications.
- Train and mentor team members in food handling, customer service, and hospitality best practices.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Operate POS systems for processing payments and managing transactions.
Skills
- Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Familiarity with ballroom management practices and kitchen operations.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems, particularly Squirrel POS.
- Ability to train staff in serving techniques, food safety protocols, and hospitality standards.
- Previous experience in a hotel a bonus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in event execution.

$19.00 per hour plus incredible gratuities
Nat’s Coffee House in Tsawwassen Springs is looking for a friendly individual to join our team of baristas! We are a local cafe serving quality coffee beverages and food offerings. We strive to embody perfection with every customer interaction and if that sounds like you, we would love to have you on the team!
A well-rounded barista would be able to:
- Working in multiple positions, from drive thru, to front till, to bar
- Serve customers in drive thru and feel comfortable wearing a headset to communicate
- Serve customers the highest quality coffee and represent the brand with every drink
- Continuously improve their skills
- Take initiative to clean and complete daily tasks
- Prepare food offerings while following the standard recipes
- Display a positive attitude and work well with others
- Lift small loads
- Open the store as early as 5:45am and close the store as late as 7:15pm
- Serve customers by greeting them and taking their order in a professional and respectful manner
- Tailor each experience to the customer by connecting with them and engaging in conversation
