TSAWWASSEN SPRINGS APPOINTS STEVE HALLIDAY AS GENERAL MANAGER


TSAWWASSEN BC – Tsawwassen Springs Masterplanned Community, is happy to announce the appointment of Steve Halliday as General Manager. Steve will be responsible for the par 70 golf course already in operation for 3 years and private and community related events specializing in intimate or large scale weddings, corporate retreats, family gatherings and golf tournaments as well as restaurant operations that will make up the majority of the $20 Million 33,000 SF Clubhouse that opens in the early fall of 2015. Tsawwassen Springs is being developed by Shato Holdings of Vancouver for the past 5 years.

With four decades of experience and success in the management of luxury hotel operations, Halliday joins Tsawwassen Springs following his most recent position as founder and president of Halliday Hospitality Group, working directly with Nat Bosa of Bosa Development as his asset manager for the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria. Prior to that, he opened the 156 Room Rosewood Hotel Georgia in 2012 and spent 26 years in senior positions within Pan Pacific Hotels Group, most notably as Vice President to the group’s President and General Manager of the 503 Room Pan Pacific Vancouver for more than 10 years, first opening the hotel for Expo 86.

Our team, once hired, joins the existing real estate group and will be dedicated to create outstanding service, memorable events and global cuisine up to 500 persons and an upscale casual fine dining restaurant for 180 persons. Part of the team already in place is the dedicated golf professionals and greens keepers headed by Chris Hood Golf Pro and the maintenance team led by Gord Olson as golf course superintendent.
